The leaves have turned and she has known.

Commentary by the artist: "Probably my all-time most popular image. My idea was a simple variation on one of my themes: A somewhat sensual female figure with wings in a classical setting. When I got the reference photos of my model, I couldn't pick just one, so I solved the problem by using all the ones I liked. When I arranged them into one composition, I realized that it suggested a time-lapse effect. So, it then became an unintentional homage to Duchamp's "Nude Descending the Staircase", in reverse."
